I am currently undertaking my PhD in neuroscience, investigating novel therapeutics as a treatment from post-traumatic stress disorder. I have also worked as a research assistant for the Thompson Institute, University of the Sunshine Coast for the past five years. During this time I have been part of youth mental health, healthy brain ageing, suicide prevention and clinical trials research. I have extensive experience with project development, electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cognitive and behavioural assessments. Throughout my time as a researcher I have had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with a variety of community partners and researchers, often requiring effective communication and problem-solving skills.
