As a freelance copywriter, I work mainly with local teachers and entrepreneurs on website copy and social media content and management. I utilize demographically-unique marketing strategies and collaborate with a number of different clients on different projects.

As a substitute teacher, the demands of each job I take vary with grade/age, comprehension level, and behavioral ability. Taking jobs from Kindergarten to High School, exposure to all points of the spectrum has been a large part of my growth regarding adaptability, ability to take charge of the space when I need to be, and recognizing the best way to navigate social and professional situations with people at all stages of life.

As a server, I was in charge of a set number of tables and the guests that were sat at those tables. I took care of their needs in a timely, organized, and helpful manner. I was also tasked with side-work at the same time, so I would be in charge of certain duties in the back of the house that varied. Other duties included keeping the silverware rolled in the front, returning clean dishes to their respectful places, and keeping a supply of dinner rolls in the warmer. This was all completed in a space shared by other servers, so there was an aspect of teamwork and level-headedness necessary for the fast-paced environment.

At Rural King, I functioned as a cashier and customer service representative, which entailed fielding phone calls, directing online orders, and communicating with the rest of the store staff to assist with loss prevention and customer dissatisfaction. I also completed all return transactions and assisted the other cashiers with difficult transactions or problems and money-drawer balances.

I was a daycare teacher for a long time, and in that period, I worked with kids aged 0-5 years old. While each age groups presented a different set of challenges, my duties always included ensuring the safety, education, and health of the children in my care. I created daily activities and helped implement schedules made by other teachers for the development of the children. I was also in charge of feeding and maintaining the hygiene of both the kids and the spaces they interacted with.

As the Indiana University Writer's Conference social media intern, I participated in many different small projects throughout the planning of the 2019 conference, but my main duties were that of marketing the event by managing two social media platforms. I did this by taking photos, designing different banners, posting blurbs, and interacting with followers. Besides this, I spearheaded a raffle prize by organizing the names, emails, and addresses of participants and using a set of criteria to select the winners; I was also in charge of collaborating with the winners in order to efficiently mail the prizes to them. Smaller group duties that I participated in included facilitating the sign-up and sign-in of participants and hosting nightly readings and social gatherings for the faculty and participants.

My time as a Books and Beyond member was split into two different parts. I joined the group on a service-learning trip to Rwanda, Africa first, distributing books and conducting an English literacy class at a local school to students in years 4-6. There, I taught a workshop on writing practices that concluded with the children writing their own story that would be translated and compiled along with the stories of children from the Harmony school here in Bloomington into a book that would be distributed at the next year's camp. The other part took place here in Bloomington, where I was on a team that edited and refined the translated stories and prepped the ones we got from the Bloomington children for translation so that they could be read by both groups of children. Another part of these duties included creating presentations that would be included in the workshops that were held in the Harmony school.

As a food service worker, I worked in a campus dining hall, often switching between multiple food station concepts and therefore having a variety of different tasks. I assembled foods, cooked, served customers, and maintained the cleanliness of my workspaces. I had to be flexible as I could be moved to a different concept that needed help, and complete the necessary duties.
