About Grace (Heffner) Bish
As I take steps in my professional career, I have an gained an increased awareness of how multi-dimensional my interests can be and that they can uniquely inform those professional steps. I hope to share with you some of those dimensions and how I am exploring them in my day-to-day.There is nothing more special to me than a pensive afternoon in an art museum. When given time and space, fine art can point the viewer towards important and culturally-relevant questions, as can its artist. I dream of stepping into the creative worlds of artists, taking time to listen to and engage with artistic vulnerability - a concept I call relational curation. I seek to serve in an art community in which participants are welcomed to hold in tension the emotional expression of a piece of art with their own emotionality, both within and outside the gallery walls. To see some of my projects, check out my portfolio link in the featured section of my profile.Currently, I am considering graduate school to further my study of Art History and Curatorial Practice. A second dimension I have discovered through my most recent role is my interest in audience engagement via digital communication platforms like email campaigns and social media. In my current role, I manage two major fundraising campaigns per year and all Alumni Engagement communications, and I am increasing my organization's utilization of data systems to inform campaign structure, set achievable goals, and increase audience engagement. To do this well, I am working on my Salesforce Administrator certification, and I am responsible for creating and maintaining a communications strategy to successfully reach our team goals. I hope to see these aspects of who I am intertwine into a meaningful career, with even more learning to be done along the way!
