As team lead with 7 direct reports, I manage the refinery projects portfolio and drive the scoping, design, engineering, execution planning of various small capital projects at Pasadena Refinery.

I am currently serving as Sr Process Engineer / Project Engineer at Chevron's Pasadena Refinery and working on several high priority projects such as: Replacing obsolete gasoline blending system with updated equipment and DCS platform; Replacing a distillate hydrotreater reactor and exchangers with known high temperature hydrogen attack with new equipment designed with correct metallurgy and appropriate for operating conditions, and replacing a 4" pipeline in poor condition by refurbishing an existing pipeline.

I served as design lead for a subsea tieback project to an existing oil and gas production facility in offshore Gulf of Mexico. The subsea wells had significantly different physical properties compared to existing production. I lead a team of seven interdisciplinary engineers to deliver equipment capacity evaluation and flare and relief capacity evaluation studies. This project will achieve first oil within 2 years of conceptual engineering. I served as design lead for process and supporting utilities systems for an offshore Angola Lean Gas Platform. I lead a team to successfully develop PFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, equipment sizing for the platform and lead the collaboration to develop the 3D PDMS model. I served as project manager for five R&D projects, with budget ranging from $350K to $1.4M USD, and focused on gas treatment, CO2 removal, gas sweetening, and modularization.Key Achievements: ★ I managed the successful patent application for CO2 removal in coordination with Chevron patent attorneys, and US Patent and Trademark Office. I co-authored a technical paper on utilizing gas dehydration solvent for BTEX removal.

I executed process design and provided technical leadership in several key international projects, with focus on process risk and facilities engineering. I was able to ensure that the project performance requirements, safety, and quality standards were met with excellence. I also collaborated with cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute projects on schedule, and provided technical mentoring to two junior engineers. Key Achievements:★ I served as Lead Topsides Process Engineer for the Hebron Oil Field Project (150K bopd offshore oil production) in Newfoundland, Canada, and as the Acting Lead Process Engineer for the Alaska Gas Pipeline Project (1.5 BSCFD CO2 removal).★ I provided process engineering input and oversaw facility design during pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering phases, and I managed all aspects of internal and external process engineering studies, including process safety and risk analysis (HAZOP). ★ I developed expertise in a wide scope of technical processes including Acoustic Induced Vibration and Flow Induced Vibration checks for the flare system design, gravity based structure CFD thermal analysis, production separator chemical testing, new technology qualification, and development of flare and relief scenario analysis. ★ I collaborated with internal ExxonMobil and Regulatory teams to meet project schedule and ensure compliance.

I managed the design and construction of a new chemical 2,6 di-tert-butyl-phenol manufacturing facility budgeted at $23.8 MM USD, and ensured timely execution of all phases including front-end design, detailed engineering and construction, environmental permitting, procurement, and start-up.Key Achievements:★ I provided equipment specification for over 80+ pieces of new equipment including design of new Reactor, Neutralization System, and Distillation.★ I led a team of contractors and environmental and process engineers to complete project on time, $1 MM USD below budget, and ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance.
