About Grace Hillis

I am a senior at Colby College pursuing an Economics major and Mathematics minor upon graduating in May 2024. This year, I am working on my senior thesis in Economics. My research asks how monetary policy affects the consumption of rural vs. urban households. As a student of Economics and Math, I have developed strong quantitative analysis skills but also the communication abilities and critical thinking required of a liberal arts student. At Colby, I am also involved in the Economics department as a teacher’s assistant and I serve as co-chair of the student executive board for the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs.
