My work is centered on synthesis and biological evaluation of pyrrole-alkaloid natural products and analogs. My focuses include methodology development, total synthesis and the design of small molecules for further exploration in disease treatment.

Advisor: R. Adam MoseyMy job included solving problems to optimize reaction conditions, carrying out organic syntheses, and purifying and identifying novel synthetic organic compounds. Developed skills in utilizing NMR, FTIR, GC-MS, and chiral HPLC for compound identification.

Advisor: Peter C. FordI spent the summer working in the Ford Research Group as an undergraduate researcher. My focus was in the creation of molybdenum-doped porous metal oxide catalysts that could perform selective disassembly on lignocellulosic biomass. Developed skills in inorganic synthesis, characterization studies (ICP-AES, XRD, BET), and utilization of GC-FID following reaction studies.
