As the Director of Safety-Net Product Engineering, InfoSec, and DevOps at Code for America, I lead cross-functional teams to build and secure technology that makes government services more accessible and equitable. My role involves guiding engineering efforts in creating resilient and user-centric products that streamline access to critical safety-net programs, while also ensuring robust cybersecurity measures and scalable DevOps practices. A network formed through clubhouse locations in major metro areas and a robust digital platform, it offers members expert guides, exclusive content, and meaningful connections.During my tenure I lead both react-native teams and Android/iOS teams to build native replacements for the React-Native apps using Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack compose. The native apps were architected from the ground up using Clean Architecture principals. I was distinguished as one of the first hires for the new native checkout SDK (the first Mobile app with PayPal product that serves both Venmo and PayPal). I held various roles in assisting the Product team with ideating features and implementing best practices for Agile processes. I led multiple task forces related to customer conversion and data improvements and coached new/junior engineers while delivering new features as an individual contributor. Concurrently, I led the Conversion Task Force, using tools such as Amplitude and BigQuery to identify failure points and improvement areas in the transaction flow. I conducted regular training sessions on troubleshooting issues. Past successes:❖ Played a significant part in optimizing data gathering, implementing new tools, and educating other engineers on utilizing tools such as BigQuery, Amplitude, Looker, and SignalFix. Optimized the internal logging systems and migration to Amplitude.❖ Built GCP Cloud functions in Node to enable instrumentation and maintain the product’s Firebase Realtime Database instances for web-to-native communications.❖ Nominated to and completed the company’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), a 16-week leadership training program.❖ Earned the company’s Star Talent Award in 2021.

I was in charge of all engineering functions and advising on all aspects of the outsourcing business. I screened teams and created processes for enrolling teams. I provided virtual CTO consulting to clients (non-technical founders), helping them transition from product ideation to delivery, and architected multiple products throughout my tenure. Directed all aspects of mobile development, with a focus on improving engineering flow across departments and interactions between design, QA, project management, and the client. Oversaw up to 15 direct reports as well as contractors in leading the development of 3 mobile products. ❖Led build-out for one of the largest Bollywood streaming Android apps within 6 months that increased from a 1-star to a 4.5-star rating, with 7 million downloads to date.❖Implemented proper Agile flow in the company with integration of Pivotal Tracker and proper standups/ scrums. Trained numerous team members on proper use of version control; introduced git-master role to enable engineers in different locations to share/merge code without conflicts.❖Modified unreleased ExoPlayer to handle Apple format video streams on extremely low latency with multilingual subtitles.❖Trained junior client Android engineer who transformed from an under-skilled team member to a motivated project leader and top-quality programmer.

Served as the Head of Media and Communications as well as an on-site Project Manager, training and mentoring high school students in home rebuilding efforts in New Orleans post-Katrina. Tasked with building website and increasing media presence for the organization while reaching out to college groups and larger organizations to expand LKNB’s support circle. ❖Led and participated in fundraising and hands-on rebuilding of 11+ homes.❖Launched tool lending library with donation of all prior companies’ tools.❖Increased audience for the organization, increasing donations 3x as a result.❖Organized think tank attended by students from Cornell and Ithaca colleges.
