Residential healthcare liaison

Educational Studies Program (ESP) puts on weekend and week-long programs where MIT students can volunteer to teach a subject on a topic of their choice. In my second year, I participated in a weekend of SPLASH I taught "Crisply Crafting Paper Airplanes" where I taught two sessions of 20 high school students how to fold paper airplanes and what aerodynamic properties make them fly. In my third year, I taught student how to CAD and 3D print their own Croc Jibbitz.

Supporting kids affected by a parents cancer with year round community events and a week-long summer camp.

Working on the Multi Port Accessories Design Engineering Team to innovate and verify the DaVinci robot's sterile drapes. Projects include understanding manufacturing processes to design cost-reduction features, designing test fixtures and experiments, and performing verification testing.

Redesigned a drug delivery device to be replenishable and thus enable its clinical utility; made hydrogel-adhered soft actuators, analyzed diffusion profiles; identified hydrogels’ surgical applications with physicians; presented progress to PIs, residents, summer internsJoint project between Freedman Lab at BIDMC and Roche Lab at MIT; worked closely with Drs. Worked under the supervision of Dr. Mercedes Balcells-Camps and Dr. Roberta Sabino to design a material to be applied to medical implants that can self-sense malgrowth before complications arise.

As an academic mentor for Amphibious Achievement, a mentorship program for high school students in the Boston Area, I help students realize their potential by instilling in them a sense of confidence from the competence they gain in academics and rowing/swimming.
