As the Country Director of Grace Pads, I took on a pivotal role in establishing and leading the organization's operations in Malawi. With my strong leadership and strategic vision, I successfully oversaw all aspects of the production, marketing, and distribution of menstrual hygiene products. Through our efforts, we made a significant impact in enabling girls to stay in school and empowering young women through employment opportunities. I also played a key role in fostering effective communication with stakeholders, shaping policies, and ensuring proper registration processes were in place. My dedication and expertise were instrumental in driving the success and growth of Grace Pads in Malawi.Since 2018 when it started, Grace Pads has experienced remarkable growth, expanding to a team of seven dedicated individuals and together, we are making big strides in the lives of girls.

As the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Protection Coordinator, I played a pivotal role in leading and implementing successful GBV response programs. Specifically, I spearheaded the design and execution of the GBV Response component for the DREAMS project in Blantyre District. Through my efforts, I successfully conducted comprehensive mapping exercises to identify GBV response and mitigation activities, ensuring a thorough understanding of the local context.One of my key accomplishments was the establishment of robust monitoring systems and evaluation procedures to track progress indicators for GBV prevention. This allowed for evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement of program effectiveness. Additionally, I forged strong partnerships and collaboration with the District Council Gender Team and the District Inter-faith Aids committee, enhancing the overall management and coordination of GBV interventions.In my role, I effectively managed external consultants and skillfully allocated budgets to support impactful GBV interventions. Furthermore, I developed and implemented community-based GBV mitigation strategies, which included establishing effective referral pathways and fostering community engagement and participation.Recognizing the importance of capacity building, I successfully conducted comprehensive training programs for community service providers, empowering them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to GBV cases. Additionally, I trained community members to serve as GBV activists, raising awareness and promoting behavioral change within their communities.Overall, my role as the GBV Protection Coordinator has been marked by successful program design, strategic collaboration, effective resource management, and impactful capacity building initiatives, resulting in tangible advancements in GBV prevention and response in the Blantyre District.

As a Gender-Based Violence Services Officer, I made significant contributions in addressing gender-based violence in Ntchisi District under the Spotlight Initiative. My role involved establishing a centralized GBV data management system and collaborating with government sectors to develop district-level work plans and budgets. I ensured marginalized women and girls had access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and implemented effective coordination and accountability mechanisms for district duty bearers. I provided technical support to implementing partners, monitored service delivery, and documented innovative approaches. Additionally, I supported resource mobilization efforts and ensured timely report submissions.

As the Head of Programmes for Theatre for a Change, I managed a diverse portfolio of projects focused on sexual and reproductive health rights, child protection, mobile health services, and advocacy. I actively contributed to the strategic direction of the organization and led project reporting, implementation, and HR management.

I successfully oversaw a team of 11 staff members, managing and monitoring projects focused on child protection, health services, and women's empowerment. I developed behavior change curricula, led the creation of project reports, identified funding gaps, managed program budgets, and built relationships with key stakeholders. My experience encompasses comprehensive program management and achieving impactful outcomes in the areas of child protection, health services, and women's empowerment.
