Governance and Livelihoods youth volunteer in Khulna region of Bangladesh. My role was to set up livelihood training and projects for youth and women in the region using local skills such as tie dying and fish farming. I worked with local counterparts and communities to set up and successfully run programmes to improve livelihood opportunities for a rural population affected by annual floods which has affect their food security and work opportunities. As part of this programme I had to fundraise a set amount for VSO through attending school and summer fairs, face painting and social media posts. I also had to complete and action at home event, in which I shared my experiences with a group of students using a presentation to share the programme. As part of my action at home I also volunteered with Assert in Brighton.
