Neo-soul influenced Grace Kim & The Skittles makes jazz/R&B with a touch of gospel. Proudly presented by The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance(ICMP) in London, the group is an assemblage of postgraduate musicians with the wide range of ethnic backgrounds from the Caribbean to Far-east Asian. Resembling Jamiroquai and Snarky Puppy, the music is strongly rooted in Neo-soul, served by the soaring vocal of Grace Kim. Grace Kim performed at Liverpool International Music Festival 2017(LIMF), Threshold Festival and introduced by BBC Introducing. The new single, You Make Me Believe (2019), was supported by Heart FM and BBC 1Xtra.

GRACE KIM is a singer-songwriter dedicated to R&B, Soul based in London. She and her band met each other at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts(LIPA) and have had their musical journey together since 2016. Having a resemblance to Esperanza Spalding to Hiatus Kayote, her music explores fusions with gospel and classical music which are essentially her musical background. However, a sprinkling of the Kate Bush eccentricity on her songwriting sets a very unique tone to her music. Accompanied by the tight performance of the Grace Kim Band, the storytelling gets expressed through her wide range of vocal virtuosity. She started to get recognised in the UK by performing at many beloved festivals in Northwest England such as Liverpool Soulfest 2016, Threshold Festival 2017 and Liverpool International Music Festival(LIMF). Also her first single ‘No One’ got featured by BBC Introducing.
