Grace is pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Health and Societies, with a concentration in Race, Gender, and Health, with a hopeful minor in Journalistic Writing at the University of Pennsylvania. As a result of her interdisciplinary degree focusing on the intersection of racial equity, health and medicine, and history and anthropology, she is drawn to relationships-- how people socialize and relate to each other across lines of physical, racial and cultural, and generational differences. This common thread can be found in her CV, researching the sociology interracial relationships, biracial and multiracial identities in students, student experiences in school, and the history of different relationships in healthcare. Ultimately, her main goals and academic focus is on relationships communities of color have with healthcare: ie. relationships with healthcare providers (doctors and nurses), stakeholders (lobbyists), healthcare institutions (hospitals and insurance companies), and systems, as contributors to blights in marginalized communities. Her time at Penn has been spent examining those relationships in healthcare through community health extracurriculars and volunteering, in addition to relationships among communities, such as intra- and inter- relationships. She is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2025, and intends to pursue medical school.
