Growing up in a small town in the western mountains of Maine, I was surrounded by nature -forests, rivers, and mountains that shaped my love for the outdoors and ignited my passion for conservation. From an early age, I saw firsthand the intertwined relationship between ecosystems and community. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to protecting the natural world while supporting responsible human development. This drive led me to where I am today, a passionate Environmental Science student with a concentration in land and water conservation at the University of Utah. Through coursework, field research, and over 30 hours of volunteering I have had the opportunity to dive deep into the challenges and opportunities of environmental conservation. I've developed strong skills in data analysis along with a deep understanding of environmental policy and sustainability practices. I strive to understand how we can create systems that balance ecological preservation with human development. I have worked with several non-profits in the Salt Lake Valley such as HEAL Utah and Save our Canyons who strive to enact positive change for residents all across Utah by fighting for healthier environments for us all. One of the most defining experiences of my journey so far has been my role at Patagonia. Working for a company that stands at the forefront of environmental advocacy has not only deepened my understanding of sustainable business practices but also solidified my commitment to finding solutions that support both environmental and social well-being. I have gained a unique perspective on the intersection of advocacy, business, and sustainability which has fueled my passion for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the pursuit of eco-conscious solutions.
