Austin Coming Together is the backbone support organization for a network of private, public, and non-profit organizations that share a vision for a thriving Austin community. The Project Coordinator has four main responsibilities to administratively support the mobilization, implementation, & evaluation of the Austin Forward. Together. (AFT) Quality of Life Plan:● Aligning community members and resources towards completing Action Plans.● Maintaining a designed approach for project management of AFT Strategies, Actions, and Project Plans.● Coordinating and executing communications for AFT Chairs, Strategy Leads, and Implementation Partners.● Organizing funding information to be provided to AFT funding bodies.

ConTextos is a nonprofit providing opportunity for people impacted by trauma to write and publish their personal stories in order to heal. ConTextos works in communities, schools and detention facilities.● Programming: organize and plan logistics for events, coordinate Alumni programming, manage monthly speaker series in Cook County Jail, build relationships with potential partners, represent organization at events, support publishing.● Communications: manage social media channels, create newsletters, redesign, launch and manage website and blog, coordinate creation of promotional and brand materials.● Development: research funding opportunities, write grant proposals, submit grant reports, manage individual donor communications, track donations in LGL, draft proposal letters.● Operations: provide administrative support for full organization, serve as conduit between programmatic and administrative staff, coordinate volunteers and part time/contract employees, support scheduling for ED, support HR.

Supported the Contracts team at After School Matters by assisting with compiling and organize employment ASM instructor employment documents. Completed independent projects using MS Excel for Programs team.

Women Employed's The Pattis Family Foundation Summer Leadership Program provides a unique opportunity for professional skill building and practical experience by exposing a team of eight interns to leadership training, front-line research, and a first-hand awareness of the barriers low-paid workers experience. The program seeks to introduce students and recent graduates to all areas of non-profit work through workshops, guest speakers, and projects.

Participated in a week-long campaign organizing training. Interned with the Fight for $15 campaign in Chicago. Work included approaching fast food workers in the field, data entry, collecting communications research, helping organize a community womyn’s meeting, and helping with logistics in the office. Visited the SEIU headquarters in D.C. to debrief and discuss connections between the labor and environmental movement.
