Responsible for the management and oversight of numerous grant- funded restoration projects, involved with grant management, restoration design and installation, collaboration of volunteers, supervision during installation activities as well as communication and contact with landowners. The largest and most highly successful project under my management has been a $700,000 riparian restoration project involving streambank stabilization, riparian restoration and wetland creation in the Raritan Basin Watershed. This project has received several accolades, including the 2010 NJ Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award for Healthy Ecosystems.Coordinated several educational, natural resource focused workshops for the community and for municipal officials located within six-county area. Worked with partnering nonprofits (Musconetcong Watershed Association, South Branch Watershed Association, Raritan Headwaters Association) and academic partners (Rutgers University Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program, The College of New Jersey and New Jersey Institute of Technology) to compile extensive characterization and assessment reports that include field and data collection and narrative composition for target sub-watersheds of northwest NJ. Assistance and support in the implementation of watershed management planning and restoration, outreach efforts, grant proposal development, and education activities.
