At Walton School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, I taught English to students ages 3 to 9 including listening, phonics, word pronunciation and grammar. I managed a classroom of 18-20 students at a time, following well-prepared interactive lessons, which utilized high quality teaching materials to ensure student success.

I worked closely with supervisors to support K-8 youth in a socio-economically diverse after-school care and tutoring program. I was responsible for the supervision, well-being, and educational needs of children and adolescents. My duties include administrative tasks, coordination of important documentation related to QLC and DCF, child mentoring and reading tutoring, self-esteem assistance, meal management, and academic/character development.

I served as a part-time hostess and server at the main FGCU dining hall. I handled Eagle ID card transactions associated with meal plans and helped maintain a safe and comfortable dining environment by assisting with health and sanitation directives that were heightened during the Covid-19 pandemic. While working for Compass Group USA, I delivered excellent customer service and worked well with all of my full-time staff counterparts. I was asked to remain in this position, but had to resign in order to fulfill my BSW internship requirements.

I volunteered at the ABA Academy for autistic children where I assisted both therapists and students. My roles included entering ABA data, creating flash cards, serving as a social peer model, and helping with health measures by sanitizing equipment in between student uses. I volunteered each summer from June through August.

Nagano, Japan

I was selected as 1 of 4 Pinellas County students to serve as a City of Clearwater (FL) Student Ambassador to their sister city of Nagano, Japan. Upon completion of my training in Clearwater, I traveled to Nagano (& Tokyo) in June and July of 2018. This cultural exchange was sponsored and funded by the City of Clearwater. I represented Clearwater in local Nagano City council meetings, met with Nagano's mayor, and attended Ichiritsu High School where I participated in classes and presented at their annual festival. I resided with a Homestay family while I was in Nagano, Japan.
