In the fall of 2017, I helped the delegate prepare which bills to sponsor for the 2018 GA session by writing memorandums on topics of interest such as energy, affordable housing, etc. I conducted primary and secondary research on the topics and helped create a survey to determine public opinion. During the 2018 GA session, I traveled to Richmond once a week from Charlottesville to interact with constituents via mail and in-person, monitor legislation, and other administrative tasks.

Once the polling was accomplished, I helped create the report of the study by creating graphs and explanations of the results. In addition to helping with the poll, I wrote memos on the policy passed by the 2017 GA session on anything to do with education.

On an average day, I cold-called about 100 targeted individuals to attend our events and donate money for specific elections. I managed donations and updated donor information through programs such as NGP and VAN. In addition to helping with donations, I helped plan and execute fundraisers for campaigns as well as the party.

I conducted research on the opposing candidate and used the material to help prepare for round table meetings, debates, and other events. I also attended events with senior staff to interact with constituents and donors. Once fundraising events ended, I entered the campaign contributions to NGP and updated donor data as well.
