My name is Grace Morrison, and I am a Master of Business Administration student at Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business, graduating in December of 2025. I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I have enjoyed living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the past four years. In May of 2024, I completed my Masters of Science in Management at SMU. I also completed my Bachelors of Business Administration at Texas Christian University, where I double majored in Marketing and Finance and graduated in May of 2023. I plan to remain in the Dallas area for the years to come. I have had real-world experience in the Marketing and Finance fields through two past internships I have completed. First, I completed a marketing and management internship abroad where I conducted brand storytelling, influencer strategy approaches, and created marketing strategy pitches for multiple South African businesses. I have also completed a property management internship for a commercial real estate firm where I helped the property management team manage billions of dollars in assets as well as corresponded with multiple tenants to ensure correct documentation of occupancy and insurance. Finally, I have held a Sales Associate position at a clothing boutique where I used social media to advertise and market products to gain exposure and increase sales. I am excited to use my knowledge and skills from my past jobs and internships and apply them to concepts inside and out of the classroom. I think this will help me to grow confidence in my ability to help future clients develop the correct strategies for their unique businesses. I hope to use my Masters degree to leverage my career and network with various employers and professionals throughout different industries as well.
