As an Environmental Scientist at Stacey DePasquale Engineering Inc., I take on the increased responsibility of leading crews as I further develop and utilize the skills I compiled as an Environmental Science Intern. I use my knowledge of stormwater and sewer infrastructure to lead crew members through illicit discharge detection and elimination projects across multiple Massachusetts municipalities to facilitate our clients in meeting the standards required for MS4 permit compliance. This includes catchment investigations through outfall screening, stormwater pipe inspections, and water sample collection and testing. These activities allow me to pinpoint water contamination in storm drains to the shortest possible pipe segment, which expedites the process of determining the source of inflow into storm drains. To determine sources of inflow, dyed-water testing is utilized. This process is comprised of using highly concentrated colorful dye to trace the flow of sewage from buildings in close proximity to storm drains where contamination has been confirmed, allowing for inflow sources to be identified. Investigations of this nature require me to be detail-oriented with an investigative mindset, which allows me to think outside of the box while being efficient in my work.

Performing catchment investigations for illicit discharge detection and elimination (IDDE) programs to meet MS4 compliance. Using ArcGIS and other mapping tools, navigated infrastructure effectively, performed field tests on stormwater, and executed sewer dye testing. Responsibilities also included data compilation using Survey 123 and Excel.

Assisting in educational childcare program. Coordinating activities and providing basic and general care for children throughout the summer.
