Inspired by her own experience as a social enterprise entrepreneur, designer Grace Wallace launched the WritefullyHis Foundation in 2014. The WritefullyHis Foundation supports the empowerment of students in East Africa with access to paper and pencil through partnerships with nonprofits.. The WritefullyHis Foundation aims to fuel the growth and expansion of the handwritten note across the younger generation, connecting and providing stationery to classrooms that otherwise would not have access. Most recently, the WritefullyHis Foundation took ownership of the Christmas Campaign from for-profit stationery company WritefullyHis. The campaign serves to educate local classrooms about East Africa, veterans and the handwritten note. Letters are written by school aged children and then delivered to the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia during the holiday season. In 2013, WritefullyHis was able to collect 1,700 letters from 7 schools, written on American themed stationery, to hand out at the Veteran Affairs Hospital. This year, the campaign hopes to reach 10,000 letters and expand their reach into the public school sector. Grace believes that educated children in East Africa and around the United States are our best investment. If we can provide them the basic necessities of education then they will be able to fill their greatest potential.
