I received my Bachelors from Washington State University in Biology, and am an avid communicator who loves continuing to learn and share new information related to human and environmental health. One of the stories my parents most love to tell new people they meet about me, is how in kindergarten my dad coached my soccer team, and how he would frequently find me near the bleachers talking with the families who came to watch while the other players clumped running around the ball. Since then I have heard the phrase "social butterfly" used to describe me on many occasions, and have leaned into my love of communicating with people by participating in academic leadership councils and through building lasting professional relationships. I have also since developed a greater desire to participate in sports, and love a casual tennis match or a nice row on a lake!I'm thrilled by opportunities to continue learning and growing in positions of leadership, and am passionate about the progress being made in environmental sciences to foster a healthy future for humanity. I am dedicated to the projects I take on with zeal, and, as someone who is comfortable working with people and having to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, I am a great candidate for collaboration within teams. I can also be relied upon to handle independent projects as I am self-motivated, and take pride in my work.
