As a final year student at University College Dublin, I conducted in-depth research on plasma protein biomarkers to predict biochemical recurrence in prostate cancer patients. Working alongside the Watson group at the UCD Conway Institute, I analysed biological samples, wrote a comprehensive literature review, and completed a 6,000-word thesis to graduate with a BSc (Hons).
