As Managing Editor I lead a staff of over 30 students to produce a weekly newspaper for the college community. I write and research investigative stories and mentor other writers to develop their own writing and journalistic voice. I lead weekly meetings, communicate with school administration, ensure smooth marketing and business operations for the organization, and confirm newspaper issues with our printing company.

St. Olaf College

As a News Editor I pitch 7-10 articles a week and recruit and manage a team of peer writers. I edit articles for flow and grammar to present clear and professional weekly issues, oversee the layout of the front page of the paper, and provide feedback to writers in order to foster a strong editorial staff. I use InDesign and Photoshop skills to meet media content needs for the organization.

As a Copy Editor I edit articles weekly for the paper to ensure accuracy in reporting. I work collaboratively with a team of copy editors and writers to improve the strength of our editorial product and provide topical news to the college community.

Northfield Mn

As a Work Coordinator I sort schedules, input student information, and answer phones to assure the office runs smoothly. I assist in planning large visit days and provide logistical support for events serving up to 300 prospective students and families.

As a Summer Worker I communicate with prospective students and their families to assist in the college application process. I provide information about the school on student panels, in virtual information session, and in one-on-one connections. I call students and their parents, write postcards, and answer questions to promote St. Olaf

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

In this role I research and discuss equity frameworks in non-profit settings to ensure the successful implementation of equity practices throughout the organization. I support work on the Neighborhood Engagement, Diversity, and Public Policy committees by running events and attending meetings in order to increase community involvement.

As a Stage Manager I create and organize schedules for rehearsals, costume fittings, and design meetings. I take copious notes at all rehearsals and facilitate smooth communication between cast, crew, and designers to ensure the show is running smoothly. I also call all cues during the run of the show, staying calm under pressure.

Escape Summer Camp

As a counselor I plan activities and chaperone field trips for children ranging from 2nd to 7th grade to ensure safety and engagement with others. I participate in weekly staff meetings, sharing feedback to improve camp each week, and lead groups of over 20 students at a time.
