Created a non-profit organization that empowers college women to raise awareness about sex trafficking through a 1,700- mile bike ride down the Pacific Coast. Recruited and coached 2018-2022 teams of 57 total women through a leadership program that includes cycling training, local fundraising strategies, and responsible advocacy. To date have raised over $750,000.

At the core of all of my assignments was to tell the story of The Refuge Ranch while protecting the identities of the sex trafficking survivors in our care. I managed our public image through social and traditional media, developed marketing strategy, designed promotional materials and spoke on behalf of The Refuge for DMST to raise awareness about domestic child sex trafficking and the importance of trauma informed care.

I interned directly under the Director of PR and Communications to raise funds and awareness for The Refuge Ranch: a long-term healing ranch for survivors of sex trafficking that was being built from the ground up on 15 acres outside of Austin, TX.

Tribe + Glory is a jewelry line whose products are handcrafted by women in Uganda, as part of a newly launched branch of the women’s empowerment program of Empower a Child. Five other interns and I were brought onto the team before the line even had a name. We acted as a team of advisors and brainstormers who assisted in the naming, branding, design and start of the jewelry line. Additionally, we set up and hosted local trunk shows, reached out to local businesses to sell our products, arranged product photo shoot for online and social media advertising, organized inventory shipments, and brainstormed various ways to spread brand awareness,
