As part of my MSc at Kings College London I took on the part time role of an Assistant Psychologist in a low secure psychiatric ward. This role included working in a multidisciplinary team to rehabilitate mentally unwell offenders. I would carry out risk assessment and psychological assessments using psychometric tools as well as engaging patients in psychological therapies. I took on workforce transformation projects wherein I surveyed staff support, and training needs to co-produce service training packages with a view to improve staff and patient experience. As well as this I reviewed treatments and research to increase its cultural relevance and inclusivity.

Working in the role of supervisor I led a small team in a busy bakery located in Cardiff city center. In this role I was responsible for ordering stock, cashing up tills at the end of the day and opening and closing the shop. As well as this I would bake pasty’s, prepare food to order and work on tills taking customer orders.

Whilst working at the national trust tea rooms I took on the roles of barista and assistant chef. I underwent health and safety food hygiene training and learnt how to handle money.

As a Deputy Manager Tier 3 Call Handler I made phone calls informing the public in Wales and England they would need to isolate as a result of being in contact with a person with COVID-19. This included providing advice on isolation and support available, gathering personal information and filling in questionnaires. Additionally, I developed managerial skills through supporting a team of up to twenty call handlers. The role improved upon my leadership, communication and listening skills.
