Washington High School, San Francisco

Gear Up is a non-profit organization that focuses on in-class tutoring. During my time at Washington High School, I worked during class time to tutor selected students, as well as after school hours.

East Bay Area

I helped tutor students in the subjects of math and chemistry. During this time I worked with several students one on one and helped improve their understanding of the fundamental concepts of chemistry.

I taught a class to parents and students from select age groups, 0-2 yrs. In these classes, we focused on the social, mental, and physical development of the children, depending on the select age group. I used the educational lesson plans from Gymboree headquarters and adapted it to my classes. We focused on educating parents, and aiding their children in a fun-filled and educational 45 minute class. I also taught sports and school skills to children who are preparing for, or already enrolled in, preschool. This was a drop-in program where the teachers are directly responsible for each child.

I made sandwiches, cleaned the equipment and food stations, and used the cashier.
