I am responsible for setting a prospective student’s first impression of the college. I help the prospective students answering all questions and starting their personal connection to the college.

In this position I work under Diversity and Inclusion at Alma College. I am responsible for helping students acclimate to campus life, get connected with resources, and build relationships on campus. I created a relationship with my mentee, I planned and participated in activities and outings throughout the year and participate in the large group events.

I was elected to this position in the beginning of December and I was active in my duties to represent the students of Alma College. I was responsible for representing Alma College students on various committees and to the Alma College Board of Trustees. I acted as a liaison between the students and the administration of Alma College.

I worked with Michigan Environmental Council and Alma College on researching rural water infrastructure in Michigan. We compiled information on randomly selected Michigan communities, under 10,000 residents, to compare their water rates along with how the communities came up with their rates. The premise of the project was to see if the water was.

I had the responsibility for doing field sampling for potato fields. I learned how to identify different weeds, diseases, and pests for potato plants. I also learned about some of the management that goes into large agricultural fields. It helped me apply my different skills that were taught in my environmental science major.
