I am currently a full-time student at Spalding University pursuing a degree in Health Science with plans to enter Spalding’s Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program in 2026. I have worked as a nanny for a family of three for the past six years, and I also am a substitute teacher at Friends School.My passion has always been working with children, especially in an educational setting. I truly believe that every child can succeed within a classroom if given the right supports and interventions. Having worked alongside and collaborated with OT’s from Friends School has shown me what an impact occupational therapy can have on a student’s life. It inspired me to pursue that myself.I have nine years of childcare experience and six years of experience working with differently-abled children. I have worked in childcare facilities as well as done private in-home childcare. My desire to work in pediatrics stems from the joy and fulfillment I feel helping children gain independence, develop social skills, and succeed academically. I hope to one day make an even bigger impact by being able to help children as an OT.
