Grace Spencer is a creative person by nature with a professional passion for using digital media to drive change. In her current role as digital media manager at Taft Communications, Grace collaborates with clients in the clean energy and healthcare sectors. Whether she’s promoting building electrification to combat climate change or raising awareness about health equity, her work consistently reflects her commitment to improving the quality of lives across New Jersey — and beyond. She began her career as a photographer after earning her degree from the School of Visual Arts. Her early work took her to Thailand, Africa, and the Dominican Republic, where she documented vulnerable communities for nonprofit organizations like Remember Nhu and Mission2535, raising awareness around critical issues such as childhood sex trafficking and building sustainable communities.Following her nonprofit work, Grace wore several different hats as she navigated the professional world during a pandemic, taking on roles ranging from digital asset coordinator to project manager. These experiences paved the way to her career at Taft, a communications consulting firm that specializes in purpose and impact. In addition to her work at Taft, Grace continues to leverage her photography skills to support others. Understanding that high-quality, professional images can be a burdensome expense for people early in their careers, she offers headshot sessions to emerging professionals to help them establish their professional identity. Grace’s photography has been featured in several gallery shows and published in Photographer’s Forum and Photo Vogue. She was also honored with Taft’s "Power of Purpose for Outstanding Achievement" award, which recognized her creative and collaborative approach to thought leadership content for several mission-driven clients that helped grow their visibility and engagement. Through her work and extracurriculars, Grace remains focused on making a meaningful impact in her community and across the world.
