During my time working for the Everyman and Playhouse in Liverpool I delivered high quality artistic projects in community settings. This position has given me the opportunity to work with the community to give them a taste of the wide theatre genres, which I have knowledge of. I ran all types of workshops from craft and theatre taster and to enabling devised performances through exploration. This position has allowed me to understand further the impact culture can have in the regeneration of areas following arts engagement with young people in Norris Green in 'the Pad' which is having a positive impact not only on the young people but on the whole area.

I supported the Transitions project homeless people in the area of Liverpool by devising and creating life drama for the group to work through the issues that some of them had, in a safe and supportive environment. This experience helped me to understand the struggles that everyday life and alcohol dependency can bring on the streets.

After gaining funding from Children In Need, we advertised and then created a group for young people between 10-18 in Everton to try free-running, street theatre and film making. This will then lead into showing a film in a live gaming event by emerging actors of the area. The project was an initiative to allow the young people to explore new activities and sometimes escapism from their everyday lives.

As Activities Co-Coordinator I designed, planned, promoted and organised a scheme of events and activities for the residents within the home, which took into account their cultural, social and spiritual needs. This included running arts and craft workshops to improve motor skills and keep their mind as active as possible.

As the Abbeydale Picture House youth theatre assistant director I worked with children and young people aged 8-16 years old, developing performance skills to create an ensemble piece. A highlight of my time at Abbeydale was when I introduced the young people to new theatrical styles including in November 2011 a 10-week Physical Theatre programme. I was knowledgable about the heritage of the building and just before the building closed I researched launching educational programmes.
