• Provide legal advisory and representation to the Credit Risk committee comprising of senior management and business leaders to discuss credit files to ensure the Bank is legally covered.• Facilitating the loan approval process from start to finish. This included review of the Letter of Offers and execution of the same, review of the perfection documents (Charges, Debentures, and Chattels) and execution of the same;• Review of all credit contracts including Syndication Agreements;• Oversight on release of original security documents for purposes of security perfection to the internal lawyers upon receipt of complete securities pack from the business team.• Analyse, critic and explain pertinent laws and procedures touching on contracts and credit documentation to various staff involved in the credit process for the realization of the Banks objective.• Provide daily oversight to a team of 13 staff, align their deliverables and the teams’ efforts to achieve individual results and foresee and mitigate legal risks in an efficient and effective manner to achieve individual results as well as the Bank’s objectives• In liaison with HR, facilitate capacity building and succession planning for the team that lead to the achievement of individual career development plans as well as departmental succession plans• Management of the Banks panel of external lawyers and professional valuers by ensuring they deliver on their professional mandate within the agreed timelines.

• Provided a full spectrum of company secretarial services, for the Board of Directors and the Board Committee which included preparing for Board committee meeting, updated and maintained records and fillings for Board papers.• Created Board and Committee packs, organized and attended three (3) Board, Board sub-committee and committee meetings.
