About Grace Walker
I work to develop partnerships and the strategy for the Aegis Peace Fund which is a charitable foundation supporting sustainable peace in fragile communities around the world. It invests social enterprises to generate surpluses that can financially sustain partners who deliver peacebuilding programmes, our main partner being our sister organisation Aegis Trust. The Aegis Peace Fund also invests in entrepreneurs and local projects that create sustainable livelihoods and strengthen the resilience of the community.Prior to this, I co-founded White Rose Shops - a small chain of recycled fashion boutiques across Nottingham as a way to generate sustainable finance for the Aegis Trust and its peace-building programmes. There are now 18 shops across the Midlands as a popular alternative to fast fashion.
