I have dedicated the last ten years conducting research about transforming work-related crisis into opportunity. This is highly relevant in these turbulent times. My doctoral research is focused on the study of individuals in the corporate world that have the ability to transform adverse situations into new innovative solutions. Prior to beginning my doctoral research, I worked in a variety of roles in Corporate Banking, Marketing and Sales. In 2012, whilst working full-time as a corporate banker in CBA, I completed my MBA degree from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (“MGSM”), and was awarded a scholarship for the degree of Master of Research to study cross-cultural management issues. During my study I found the crucial element that dictates whether someone can thrive in a certain cultural environment largely depends on their ability to work with the existential crisis experienced in the initial period of adaptation. In 2013, I was recognised for my exceptional work in cross-cultural management. I was later invited to conduct further research on the topic of transforming crisis into opportunity in a Doctoral degree, with the support of a NSW government funded scholarship. My research covers a large area related to the development of self-responsibility, self-leadership, and achieving self-mastery. In particular, I am interested in how individuals transcend their own self-imitating beliefs, habits, thought patterns, and how they effectively work with existential anxiety, uncertainty, procrastination, and how do they take control of their own wellbeing through realising their innate potential.With my research insight, my corporate work experience, and my multi-cultural background, I have been able to develop and refine a consulting methodology that leads organisations through challenging situations to create new strategic directions, and assisting individuals from varied backgrounds to achieve their potential in unprecedented uncertain times.
