As a food and beverage attendant, I am a guest-facing multitasker that takes on the multitude of roles that come with being a bartender and a waitress. My role includes cash handling, increasing food and beverage sales by upselling the restaurants services, proactively greeting and escorting guests to their tables, managing reservations, taking and serving orders both manually and on computerised registers, making beverages, and dealing with any enquiries or complaints whilst providing quality customer service. During this time, I also completed courses such as Food Safety, Foundations of Health and Safety, Licensing Law (Responsibilities for Serving Alcohol), Menu Training, and Suburban Drinks Training in order to be fully prepared for my role.

Worked in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where I was tasked with serving around 200 customers per shift and ensuring that they had an excellent dining experience by providing stellar customer service. It was my responsibility to manage and take bookings, escort customers to their tables, and deal with any enquiries/complaints, all whilst adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations.

Worked in a suburban pub where I provided quality service by greeting customers, taking orders, and delivering their food whilst making sure it was presentable and to the customers liking. During this time, I stayed attentive to guests’ needs, upsold appetisers, desserts and drinks by memorising specials and giving recommendations, and followed health code standards with regards to handling food. As COVID-19 restrictions eased, I followed government priority actions by working safely through the methods of social distancing, mask protection, and cleaning often as well as ensuring that our guests followed them when within our premises which also developed customer loyalty.
