As the Director of Development and Marketing at the Eagle Valley Community Foundation, President of Eagle County Gives, and a contributor to the sustainability efforts of the Mountain Pride program, I am dedicated to driving impactful change within our community. I have a passion for leveraging strategic marketing and development initiatives to elevate mission-centered organizations and foster community engagement.I earned my BA degree from DePauw University with a major in Communication and a minor in Spanish Language. During my time at DePauw, I discovered my passion for philanthropic studies by founding a university fundraising program for the local children's hospital, Miracle Network Dance Marathon. This grassroots effort led to my recognition in the founding class of MNDM Distinguished Leaders.With over 8 years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector, I have focused on serving underserved and underrepresented populations. My career began as a teacher with Teach for America in Indianapolis, where I developed a deep commitment to youth development, behavioral health, and addressing the complex issues affecting our communities' youngest members. Following my teaching career, I have worked with diverse mission-centered organizations, leading them through significant growth, strategic planning, and relationship-centered fundraising. I value ethics, diversity, and vulnerability, bringing a strategic and thoughtful approach to every team and project I join. I thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments where individuals work together to achieve ambitious goals through hard work, strong leadership, and innovation.I graduated from the Lilly School of Philanthropy with an MA degree and earned my Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Certification in April 2021.I am passionate about nonprofit development and leadership, and I volunteer in various capacities. Currently, I serve as the President of the Eagle County Gives Collaborative, a coalition of over 60 Vail Valley nonprofits, and I am on the founding board of Mountain Pride. In 2023, I was named the Vail Valley Partnership Success Awards' Community Impact Individual of the Year. Outside of my professional life, I am an avid reader and adventurer. In 2023, I proudly read over 60 books. My nightstand is a testament to my love for learning and creativity, with six pairs of brightly colored glasses, a notepad for late-night thoughts, at least three books, and a marked-up map of National Parks.
