• End-to-end legal support for global merchant acquiring and payout products, including card, alternate payment methods, ACH, prepaid cards, and direct-to-debit (OCT) payouts. • Advise on payment regulations and card network rules, including EFTA/Reg E, money transmission licensing, bank partner relationships, and NACHA compliance.

• Product and regulatory counsel focused on potential new products and product changes; second lawyer after GC. • Legal lead during FINRA approval process for Brex broker-dealer and launch of first broker-dealer product (cash management account). • Concept-to-launch support for new products, including licensing and regulatory guidance, negotiating partnership agreements, working with product and engineering teams on legal requirements, and reviewing marketing collateral. • Advised on legal strategy and regulatory requirements as part of product explorations across multiple verticals.

• Oversaw regulatory portfolio including contractual recognition of UK bail-in, resolution stay rules in the US and EU, derivatives recordkeeping, and FINRA margin rules.• Drove and managed large cross-functional remediation projects to implement US Dodd-Frank Act and EU Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive.
