Inaugural Director of NExT, Northeastern University’s Network for Experiential Teaching & Learning, based in the Graduate School of Education. NExT connects K-12, higher education, industry, and community partners around the shared goal of making experiential education accessible to learners of all backgrounds at every level. The network supports the development of high impact experiential teaching and learning practices, generates and distributes research based in school and classroom practices, and provides relevant and accessible professional development.Worked with NU GSE's leadership to lay the foundations for NExT growth, including piloting ways to engage more diverse network members; identifying the systems and resources required to expand practitioner services, research partnerships, and network events; and creating faculty team work practices.

Several winning federal implementation and planning grants, including DC Promise's $25 million award, and an Investing in Innovation Award (i3) development grant; also worked with locally-funded PNs. Selected projects:The Turnaround Challenge - co-author of influential framework; leader of Turnaround School-level Design Team; author/editor of implementation tools including seven Turnaround Case Studies and blueprints for Lead Partnerships; contributor to six-state Partnership Zone Initiative. Keep The Promise, a longitudinal study of at-risk high school students – research project director, author of practitioner report, editor of other project reports.Building Blocks Initiative for Standards-based Reform – senior editor for database, cited as exemplar by US DOE, of 100+ blueprints for school management and instructional strategies at schools outperforming for their demographics. Managed site visits by teams of educators, wrote and edited strategy blueprints, managed teams of freelance writers over a period of six yearsCase-based Leadership Development Materials – author and editor for a series of leadership development cases under the supervision of Dr. Kay Merseth of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Consulting clients included Coca-Cola and Schweppes (for an early blended, competency-based vocational program that won the UK National Training Award), Oxford Brookes University, Blackwell Publishers, and the Institute of Management.

Founded a self-paced, mastery-based learning division for international publisher Pergamon Press (Elsevier Publishers). Developed the country’s top-selling early blended learning management development program, averaging 20% annual increase in revenue over five years. Negotiated strategic partnerships with educational institutions, professional membership organizations, and distribution channels.
