My coursework included: writing regulations, drafting designs, and applying policies to improve the sustainability and equitability of existing developments; comparing policies and governance strategies to address social problems, such as food insecurity; writing consultation briefs for energy policies and detailing strategies for decarbonizing the energy and transportation sectors. For my master’s thesis, I researched the implementation of the Active Travel (Wales) Act to determine whether active travel investment has been equitable across Cardiff and to understand what factors predict success (a more sustainable mode share). I also worked with the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) where I helped develop a longitudinal survey assessing travel behaviors and perceptions in Cardiff, cleaned and managed the data, and helped draft a technical brief of the results. -
