Grace Camara is a Senior Legal Adviser and the Garment and Apparel Sector Lead for Global Rights Compliance, an international human rights law and development firm based in the Hague. Grace manages multi-stakeholder initiatives that strengthen the regulatory environment and facilitate access to remedy for human and labour rights violations.  Grace is an award-winning UK-qualified lawyer with more than 15 years experience advising on corporate accountability initiatives for both private sector and non-profit organisations. As a trustee and board member of The Circle, she advises on EU policy developments within the garment and textile sectors. Grace previously worked as Legal Counsel for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, and as a legal adviser on Oxfam’s Fairtrade campaign. Grace has a first class master's degree in law from SOAS and a diploma in International Trade and Development from the Graduate Institute of Geneva. In 2019, Grace was awarded social innovator of the year by Société Générale and the Crans Montana Forum for the creation of RemitFund, a non-profit that leveraged remittances to provide investment for SDG-aligned businesses.
