As a Legislative Assistant intern, I was responsible for conducting in-depth research and drafting speeches for Members of Parliament (MPs) to be presented during debates in Parliament. The scope of topics covered was extensive and varied, tailored to the specific focuses and interests of the assigned MPs. This role required a meticulous approach, and despite the inherent challenges for an undergraduate, I consistently demonstrated conscientious effort and achieved commendable results in both research and speech drafting.The responsibilities involved navigating through a diverse range of subjects, demanding a comprehensive understanding of various policy areas. This experience allowed me to contribute substantively to the parliamentary discourse, addressing nuanced and complex issues that are integral to the legislative process.
