Veterinary Assistant
Providing care of small animals, primarily dogs and cats. Tasks included but are not limited to bathing, feeding, exercising, monitoring, and gentle restraint of animals, as well as general cleaning duties. Obtain guidance from VMC Infection Control to maintain acceptable practices for client and hospital personnel safety. Other duties as assigned.
Animal Care Technician
Maintain an orderly and clean shelter environment, manage animal care including exercise, nutrition, medication distribution, and intake exams upon arrival to the shelter. (Intake exams included, but were not limited to: venipuncture, providing vaccinations, performing SNAP test, providing flea and tick, heartworm medication, deworming, checking weight, and overall exam of the animal.) Additional responsibilities include assisting our veterinarian with restraints for surgeries, assigning medications for new animals, and helping with other veterinary appointments when needed. Observing and recording medical symptoms, behavioral issues, and overall quality of life of the animals at the shelter. Coordinating foster program for pregnant felines and orphaned kittens. This includes communicating with and educating fosters, providing essential nutrition supplies, and completing health exams on kittens and/or mothers.
Team Member
Preparation and inspection of meals to meet specifications of customer requests. Take incoming orders directly from customers, in conjunction with quality control measures before final delivery. End of day closing responsibilities including cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and each work station.
Plating Helper
Trained and proficient in the procedures and requirements of racking, unracking, and proper packing of parts and general handling techniques. Ensuring quality, timely processing of parts per customer, and internal parameters. In addition, assisted in masking and other departments as needed.
