I am a McGill Computer Science student with an open mind and couldn't be more excited to delve into the world computer science. At my internship at Toric, I worked in both the frontend and backend to support their web app. One task includes ensuring secure user signup and sign in by integrating AWS Cognito into the frontend with AWS Amplify, React, and Redux. Furthermore, I have 6+ Java experience and a few years of experience with C, C++, and SQL. I'm comfortable creating complex projects with any of these languages and am eager to learn new skills and technologies!I am also Design Team Lead of Hack McGill (McGill's Official Hacker Collective). I oversee the creation and improvement of the Hack McGill design system, brand/graphic style, and UI/UX flow. With Figma, I work in a small team to design the website, participant, and sponsorship dashboards, as well as social media graphics for McHacks. As a part of Hack McGill's, I exercise my collaboration and communication skills, working with a team of 30+ to organize McHacks, one of Montréal's largest hackathons with over 500 participants. Additionally, I was the team leader of a group of four in the Innovative Defense Technologies computer science competition. I designed and implemented the back-end code of an automated exploratory black box tester, which placed 2nd out of 27. Our team I improved testing code coverage of supplied JARs by over 90% and were awarded with the best speed to performance ratio.
