I am the Editor-in-Chief for Natural Womanhood, "The Magazine of Fertility Awareness and Women’s Health," and host of The Natural Womanhood Podcast. NW is a TX-based nonprofit organization with a global reach dedicated to the belief that all women can learn to claim their natural fertility as beautiful, powerful, and healthy. I am also a freelance writer, editor, and speaker with interests in women's health and bioethics. I hold a M.A. in Bioethics & Health Policy from the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics at Loyola University Chicago (May 2017), and a B.S. in Healthcare Management & Policy from Georgetown University (May 2014). I am a former Ramsey Fellow at the Center for Bioethics & Culture. I am also a former Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship recipient. To date, my work has been featured at Newsweek, Human Life Review, National Review, The Linacre Quarterly, the Public Discourse, Natural Womanhood, The National Catholic Register, Verily Magazine, Aleteia English, the Federalist, and the Daily Signal, among others.During my time at Georgetown, I was a founding member of both the Georgetown University Bioethics Society and the Georgetown University Bioethics Bowl (Debate) Team, and spent four years working in the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University Hospital. I was also an active member of the Georgetown Scholarship Program, an honor for which less than 1% of applicants are selected.I have worked for two different federal agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have also spent time interning on Capitol Hill on both the Senate and House sides of the legislative branch, and I got my start in health policy while interning at the Texas Public Policy Foundation in the summer of 2012. Finally, I am a firm believer in Natural Family Planning/Fertility Awareness, and am trained in the Sympto-Thermal Method via the Couple to Couple League (CCL). Together, my husband and I are a certified Teaching Couple for CCL.

Orise FellowFda Jun 2014 - Jun 2015Silver Spring, MarylandAfter graduating from Georgetown, I was awarded an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Fellowship to work in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at the US Food and Drug Administration at their White Oak facility in Silver Spring, MD. During my time as a fellow at CDER, I worked in the Office of Strategic Programs (OSP). I worked primarily with the Decision Team as they conducted various projects and provided support across CDER. Projects I was involved with included:1. Researching, evaluating, and presenting findings on the Breakthrough Therapy designation program (as established by the 2012 Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act), culminating in a presentation at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC (see link below);2. Aiding implementation efforts of the new Benefit-Risk Framework (BRF) across CDER, especially in the Office of New Drug Products, for the evaluation of applications from pharmaceutical companies for new and generic drugs; 3. Assisting with the Patient-Focused Drug Development initiative (as authorized by the Prescription Drug User Fee Act), including outreach, PFDD meeting preparation, and writing Voice of the Patient Reports;4. Developing examples for the new Clinical Review Template (CRT) for primary reviewers in the Office of New Drugs (OND); 5. Researching the landscape of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), and their inclusion in the drug development and review process. -
