During my time at Teradyne I worked on a variety of projects including an alarm client, a memory management system pipe rework, Executive enhancements, and adding additional tests to the test suite. I also spent a lot of time collaborating with my co-workers, to further understand company initiatives and products, as well as how my own work would be implemented and used in the software.Tasks:◼️ Alarm Client • Created a client to collect data from a generated alarm and sent it to System Manager (an interface displaying hardware information and errors) • Received feedback from other engineers regarding the data and formatting sent, to ensure that it was concise and useful for debugging • Wrote additional tests to make sure these features were working properly◼️ MMS Pipe Rework • Implement changes to the Memory Management Service to modernize outdated pipe code and create a single cohesive implementation◼️ Executive Enhancements • Added a few checks to the Executive client (used to run test groups) to output more information regarding pertinent test settings • Fixed an issue regarding leaked memory, which was causing a cascading effect of failing tests◼️ Additional Tests • Wrote missing read/write local bus tests for a variety of instruments

At Gateway, I was tasked with implementing a file upload and download system using Azure Blob Storage. Through collaborating with other interns, we were able to complete this project. I handled tasks involving creating data models using C#’s Entity Framework to handle the data in an SQL database. I was also involved with a lot of testing and bug fixing throughout the project.Along with daily standup meetings, I also participated in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices, as well as meeting with managers and other employees in the company, to discuss the project scope and current progress.
