• Established and managed the CMA dedicated reimbursement hotline, the purpose of which is to provide coverage and reimbursement assistance to physicians and physician office staff relating to implantable medical devices.

• Retrieved articles and abstracts, compiled product and competitor information, updated information, and conducted secondary research.

• A collaborative effort between the Mayo Clinic and selected Minnesota private colleges and universities aimed at providing valuable insight and experience in the translational process associated with inventions and product development.• As a selected participant, I was placed on a team of four Macalester students majoring in either science or economics. Advised by a Licensing Manager from the Mayo Clinic Office of Intellectual Property and under the direction of a master’s level student, we evaluated an innovative technology developed at Mayo Clinic and conducted in-depth analyses of the viability of the technique from both a scientific and an economic perspective.

Independent Research Project: "Tuberculosis screening for international students at a liberal arts college" • Estimated a Macalester international student’s probability of testing positive for tuberculosis based on countries of residency and history of BCG vaccination. • Advised by Mathematics and Computer Science Assistant Professors Chad Topaz and Victor Addona.

• The Ruth and Vernon Taylor Fellowship enables select Macalester students to explore the work of multiple healthcare professionals in various clinical settings to compare questions of interest as the student discerns whether a career in healthcare is right for them. • For my fellowship, I shadowed a gynecologist who owns a clinic in Minnetonka, MN and an orthopedic surgeon located in the MN suburbs. I also spent a night in Minneapolis Children’s Hospital’s NICU as well as several days at Hennepin County Medical Center, working in the emergency room, high-risk clinic, and in the labor and delivery ward and several days in the pediatric oncology-hematology unit and blood and marrow transplant unit at the University of MN Medical Center, Fairview.
