I’m a high school senior at Sentinel Secondary School with a passion for healthcare, biochemistry, and community involvement. My diverse experiences range from co-founding a nonprofit to leading projects that inspire healthy living and financial literacy among youth. As a volleyball referee working with Volleyball BC, I connect with coaches, players, and referees from all around the province. To promote participant safety and engagement I've obtained a Safe Sport Training from the Coaching Association of Canada and enforced a safe sports environment. This role honed my attention to detail and decision-making, skills crucial for my finance position with the Lower Mainland Volleyball Officials Association (LMVOA) a not-for-profit organization. I managed to handle collections and payments, making sure fees were collected on time and payments were made promptly, and providing regular updates to athletic directors and stakeholders to keep them informed about the financial status.I co-founded the Health & Nutrition Club to address the gap in health education at my school, where we organized workshops and events and created engaging content to raise awareness about nutrition, exercise, and mental health. Additionally, I founded Lumina Forensics, a nonprofit organization aimed at sparking curiosity in forensic science, specifically chemiluminescence, through educational resources and community outreach events. As a member of the WISE Youth Society, I am inspired by their focus on financial literacy, having participated in their webinars and business competitions, which has given me valuable insights into creating inclusive learning environments.Working Bean Around The World Coffee, I’ve been balancing academics and work as a barista/cashier at the first-ever location. This experience has allowed me to build strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment while managing my time effectively.
