I am a passionate and dedicated alumna of the University of Maryland, with a B.A. in Government and Politics and a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. I'm thrilled to share my journey and experiences with you. Throughout my academic journey at the University of Maryland, I cultivated a deep interest in the intricacies of government and politics, with a particular focus on international development and conflict management. This unique blend of disciplines has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the global challenges we face today and the role of effective governance in addressing them. As a Fellow at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), I had the privilege of contributing to disaster preparedness and response efforts. My work exposed me to the critical importance of government agencies in safeguarding our communities during times of crisis. Currently, I serve as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, where I handle a diverse portfolio of issues including agriculture, education/STEM, environment, LGBTQIA+ issues, women’s issues, energy, FEMA/Flood, international human rights, gun control, immigration, and judiciary issues. In this role, I am committed to advancing policies that promote equity, justice, and sustainable development. Looking ahead, I am dedicated to leveraging my academic background, diverse experiences, and passion for public service to address pressing global challenges. My ultimate goal is to play a role in shaping policies and strategies that promote peace, development, and equitable governance on a global scale.
