Growing up, I found myself curious about what made groups and people tick. I noticed that some teams had trust and worked well together while other teams struggled to get along. In particular, some teams delivered results while having fun, while other teams could not deliver business results stemming from a lack of healthy organisational culture. I decided to study how people think, feel, and behave in a workplace, by specialising in a field called Transactional Analysis. For the next few years, I would work as a political analyst and a management consultant, applying that knowledge in the fields of government and venture capital. But I felt that I wasn’t making the impact that I wanted to on individual lives and communities. I wanted to partner leaders and organisations and help them understand how to work better together. In 2007, I founded SeraphCorp Institute, a leadership consulting firm to positively impact communities by equipping leaders.
