About Grace Margaretha

I am a final-year student pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Queensland (UQ) with a passion for Power, Energy, and Control Engineering. I completed the first two years of my study at UCSI University, Malaysia, before transferring to UQ to further enhance my learning experience and develop cross-cultural competence.In 2021, I was honored to be inducted as a member of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) in the Mu Alpha Chapter. During my time of service, the IEEE-HKN Mu Alpha committee managed to receive the Key Chapter Recognition for the academic year 2020-2021, and I was recognized with the Outstanding Volunteer Award by IEEE-RAS, Malaysia Chapter. I am currently serving as Vice President of UQ IEEE-HKN Mu Kappa Chapter. In 2023, Mu Kappa Chapter received the Key Chapter Award for the academic year 2022-2023.During my internship within the power generation industry, I worked closely with a team of industry professionals in the Asset Management team to develop a system and process workflow to improve compliance monitoring with the National Electricity Rules (NER). My recent work includes assisting the Customer & Growth team in BESS and hydrogen demonstration plant projects.If you are looking for a highly motivated engineering student with relevant organizational and leadership experience, I would welcome the opportunity to connect and explore potential collaborations.
