  Currently working on an industrial-funded project at Sheffield University under the supervision of Prof. Christine Le Maitre in collaboration with Pacira Bioscience Inc., focused on developing an ex vivo culture model for human osteoarthritis. This research aims to investigate novel gene therapy approaches to inhibit the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis. The project involves extensive work with mammalian cell and tissue cultures to accurately replicate the cellular interactions and disease mechanisms present in osteoarthritic joints. By using this model, we aim to explore innovative therapeutic strategies and understand the underlying mechanisms driving disease progression. This work holds the potential to advance targeted treatment approaches for osteoarthritis.
